Listen baby, ain’t no mountain high
Ain’t no valley low, ain’t no river wide enough baby
If you need me call me no matter where you are
No matter how far don’t worry baby
Just call my name I’ll be there in a hurry
You don’t have to worry
Song: Ain’t No Mountain High Enough Artist: Marvin Gaye, Tammi Terrell
The last song played on our wedding night and an honest description of how I feel about my husband. There are few people in my life that make me feel so trusted, loved, accepted, and just generally on board with all my crazy antics. No mountain is high enough or river wide enough. I’ve been through some hard times with him. Fertility struggles I would never wish upon anyone. Work schedules that pulled us part to the point I wasn’t sure if there was a return. We’ve seen each other fall apart and helped put each other back together again. We can still laugh together every day, sometimes I pee my pants, thanks to having 3 children and getting older. Arguing and bickering are part of our lives, the kids stress us out, we don’t spend as much alone time together – well never really. We have to pay for alone time, so it nearly never happens.
“Mom. Are humans animals?”
I was just interrupted by my 3 year-old. Our lives are a constant interruption. I’m glad this chaos that I live in is shared with such a good man. There must be a word stronger than love, maybe it’s one that isn’t spoken.
The Featured Image is a picture of us very hot and sweaty, after dancing at our wedding all night. I know this song was playing and everyone in the room was signing it.
