Nice 3 mile hike today. Then 6 hours of my day job, pick up kids, make dinner, switch laundry, and now I will sit for another 3 hours to edit Sour Moon. I'm on target to have this manuscript to my editor by the first week in Nov for an initial read through.

Guess who killed some zombies last night? Me! Two bullseye and lots of dead zombies. The red head gave me trouble but my team axed her for me.

Taking an unofficial poll. Writers and readers, are you cool without numbered chapters? I looked through my TBR pile and found so many varying ways to introduce a new chapter. Some I liked, others not so much. Any thoughts here?

Picking a book title. Sometimes it comes to me so easily. Then, other times not so much. Fellow friend and writer @arielesieling suggested rhymezone.com to help generate a title. After I went through several, including Salt Pork, Salt Water, Salt Air, Salt Ride, Salt Lick, I saw Salt Rush and it sunk in. Salt, is what I use to describe the healthy people in my sci-fi series. You see, their blood is clean and smells of salt compared to the rotters who are infected and quite monstrous.

I did not grow this crookneck but I'm stealing the seeds for next year. I did grow the bowl of butternut and acorn squash. I save all the seeds and replant next year. Today while I'm surfing through the copy edits from my fabulous editor, I'll roast all of these. Then I'll puree them together, freeze, and use in all sorts of delicious things.

Getting in the festive spirit. My recent work of art. I go into the pumpkin carving situation with high expectations. As I gut it, draw the face, and start sawing away, I realize I just want to be done. Somewhere I lose the momentum.
